HIGHER STUDIES  

 

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS AND SYSTEM of STUDY :

1 - Passing score in all subjects is 70%.

2 - Students obtaining a minimum of 70% in all subjects in an academic year will be promoted to the second stage (Special Diploma).

3 - Students failing in one or two subjects in the General Diploma in an academic year are permitted to take a reset in the September examination. Students will be promoted to the Special Diploma if they pass in the September examination. But, if they fail in one or two subjects in the Special Diploma, they will not be allowed to register for a dissertation. However, they will be allowed to take a retest in the September examinations for obtaining the Special Diploma instead.

4 - Students who fail in three or four subjects in the General Diploma may repeat the academic year in all subjects for obtaining a General Diploma in Education, but they are not allowed to pursue their higher studies for a Special Diploma.

5 - Students who fail in one or two subjects in the Special Diploma and have no previous failure record in the General Diploma are allowed to resit for the exam in the September session. Only those who pass the exam will be permitted to register for a dissertation.

6 - Students who fail in three or four subjects in the Special Diploma have to repeat the whole academic year with all its requirements but they may not register for a dissertation.

7 - Students who fail in more than four subjects in the General or Special Diploma will be suspended for two years; they will be permitted to reenroll after two years of suspension. They will be required to fulfill all the requirements for registration for a General or Special Diploma and they will be considered as new students.
